    WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?

Oktoberfest is outdoors, so be a smarty-smart and dress for weather that’s mild by day, chilly by night. Rubber boots or hiking shoes are recommended if rain is forecasted, open-toed shoes are just a bad idea for a party that takes place in a field. We have tents aplenty, but you’ll have more fun if you are dressed to stay warm and dry for rocking to the bands or that dash to the loo. Here’s a link to the local forecast - our weather can be different than nearby cities so check it out: here.

WHAT ITEMS ARE PROHIBITED ON SITE?

Any outside alcohol. All drugs and illegal substances, firearms, knives and other weapons. There will be security guards and police officers to help keep us all safe! NO PETS.

    ARE THERE ACCOMMODATIONS AVAILABLE?

There is rough camping on site for tenting, campers and RV's - available by registration only.
Please note there are no power or water hookups.... Here's some camping info:
    • Access to RV/Tent set up available: Sept 22nd 11am-8pm / Sept 23rd 9am-5pm. Note that vehicles will not have access to the tent camping site. There will be a drop off available and parking is close by!
    • Upon arrival in Vankleek Hill Hwy 34 and County Rd 10 follow the signs for Camping/RV/Parking - please note camping is in a NEW LOCATION this year. You will be registered, wristbanded and directed to the area specific to what you are crashing in.
    • Camping space is limited so registration is required to ensure your space is reserved. Tent plots will be 15’ x 15’ and can accommodate a maximum of 4 people. RV’s (and any other camper on wheels) will have their own RV section. RV camping is limited to a maximum of 6 people per vehicle.
    • All RV’s and tents must vacate the Oktoberfest site by 1pm Sept 24th This is rough camping, people! There are no hook-ups available so please DO NOT run an extension cord to the nearest outlet you can find thinking that you just scored power!!! We have a very limited supply of power on site and it is dedicated to run essential festival needs. Respect the land and dispose of your trash, compost and recycling responsibly. There are stations in the camping areas to make this easy for you!
    • Bundle up people, it’s Septembrrr and probably colder at night than you think. That said, there is a dedicated fire pit in the camping area so please, for the love of Oktoberfest – DO NOT light your own fire or you will be fired! Make friends at the designated fire pit. NO DRINKING outside the licensed festival grounds, ie., in the campsite area. We ask that you are especially conscientious of this request. On Sept 22nd and 23rd, the after party is held at The Windsor Tavern located at 82 Main St. East in Vankleek Hill, a five minute walk from the Oktoberfest site and we encourage you to join us there. Tickets can be purchased exclusively at The Windsor Tavern. We do have neighbours around the festival site that will appreciate a quiet night. Sound travels further than we think so thank you for keeping the noise level down.
    • There are port-a-potties available in the general camping area as well as a hand washing station. The water is NOT potable, so don’t go drinking it eh!
    • There will be a late night Cantina Friday and Saturday so have some cash for some snacks.
    • There is 24/7 security at Oktoberfest, so if you have any concerns, someone will be on site at all times to assist. There is also a designated campsite manager who will be visible in the camping area from sundown to sunup and will easily identifiable. Look for the well marked booth with the signage.
